Values
Our Statement of Values
Our values are standards by which basic business choices and decisions are
made. They are based on principles found in the Bible, which do not change over
time. They are revealed in the context of personal relationships. The integrity
of EC Group International is dependent upon our values. These values should be
evidenced by our behavior to each other and to those outside our company. The
sum of our behavior, which reveals our values, represents who we are. We do not
possess our values as a company in order to succeed; rather, we believe we will
succeed because of our values.
The following values represent the substance of our company's foundation. They
exemplify our spirit, the very essence of that which we consider worthwhile,
important, and significant. We will treasure and prize these values by our
words, thoughts, actions, and even our motives. We will build our company on
what they represent.
Truthfulness
We will be genuine, open, and aboveboard in all relationships. We will honestly
and accurately report the facts. We believe truthfulness to be the very
foundation upon which the framework of excellence and integrity must be built.
We will do what we say we will do.
Encouragement
We will motivate each other by encouraging words rather than criticism so as to
create an atmosphere of productivity and freedom to admit individual mistakes.
In every way possible (example: praise, monetary, promotion, awards, benefits,
etc.), we will seek to encourage industriousness, innovation, initiative,
prudence, and discipline. We realize that these qualities are vital to our
success and that they can only flourish in a positive and encouraging
environment. It is through positive attitudes and encouraging words that we
will help each other achieve our full potential.
Accountability
Any successful company must have structure and organization. Every person is
accountable to a higher authority. We are accountable to God, our government,
customers, managers, and each other.
Mentoring
We believe that effective leadership is best accomplished through mentoring,
that is we will lead by example. We believe that our actions speak louder than
our words. A mentor works to build the qualities in another that will make a
positive impact on their future and the future of this organization. An
effective mentor is a servant leader.
Worth of the Individual
We will practice the "Golden Rule" in decision-making. ("Treat others as you
want them to treat you." Luke 6:31) We will respect human life, dignity, and
rights of each including the consideration of their health, safety, and work
environment. We recognize the extension of the individual is a family unit and
that the family has a higher priority than the firm and its profitability;
therefore, we will purpose to build it up, not tear it down. We will seek
balance in the individual's life emphasizing the importance of God, Family,
Work, Rest, and Health.
Orderliness
We will arrange ourselves and our surroundings in a way to achieve the greatest
effectiveness and efficiency. We will continually be striving to improve our
processes in order to serve our clients better.
Responsibility
We accept individual responsibility for our actions and for the prudent
management of our company's resources including the use of our time, talents,
materials, finances, and relationships. We will be responsible for doing our
job right the first time, every time. We will be characterized by our results,
which means that we must have "NO EXCUSES".
Kindness
We will demonstrate kindness, gentleness, and compassion to our work
associates, clients, vendors, and others. We will strive to place the needs of
other's as more important than our own. We will regularly demonstrate acts of
kindness in our words and actions.
